Submitting your on-the-ground app starts by clicking on the Submit App button.
Submit App takes you to the single portal dedicated to the lifecycle of your app, App Control. App Control is where you submit your products for approval before they are published on the App Catalog. Conveniently, App Control is also where you can:
- Check the status of your apps. Draft, under review, live – it’s all right here.
- Submit new versions of existing apps.
- Easily follow reviews and rating of your apps.
The next step for next-generation communications tools: FirstNet Review.
Once you’ve submitted your app, the FirstNet App Review team evaluates whether your app follows the FirstNet Developer Guidelines and is relevant to the public safety community. This rigorous process is required for any app published in the App Catalog. If your app falls short, we will provide valuable feedback to help you resubmit. The FirstNet review process offers two levels of app review – FirstNet Verified and FirstNet CertifiedTM. When you submit your app, you must choose between FirstNet Verified and FirstNet CertifiedTM, each certification with its own checklist and criteria.
FirstNet Verified status: is your innovation up for the job?
For this certification, your app will be vetted against FirstNet's high service-level expectations of relevance, security, availability, and data privacy. FirstNet App Review takes approximately four weeks from the time you have a fully completed app submission. You will be notified via email when your app has been approved or rejected. (You can always check the status of your app by clicking the Submit App button.)
If approved, your app will receive FirstNet Verified status and be released to the App Catalog on the release date you specify in your submission. If that date has already passed, it will be released to the App Catalog upon approval.
Set your app apart with FirstNet CertifiedTM status.
Your app might be tough enough to achieve hand-picked FirstNet CertifiedTM distinction. Additional stringent levels of review – focusing on availability, scalability and resiliency -- can put your public safety tool on a crack squad of elite players. Once approved and released into the App Catalog, your app will be flagged for users with the FirstNet CertifiedTM mark on both the app summary card and app details page. A FirstNet CertifiedTM decision takes approximately six to seven weeks.
